Veganuary 2024? - You Can Do This!

This is your sign to try Veganuary in 2024! Try eating plant-based and open a new door of delicious foods. Give it a go wether it's to reduce your carbon footprint, for health or animal welfare. Let's do this!



To help you from start to finish, in this article, we've put together a guide of curated resources, from plant-based cookbooks, meal plans and even youtube/IG channels to help you thrive this January!


But before, what is Veganuary?

It's a global movement that happens in - guess what? Yes, January! Vegan + January = Veganuary, created in 2014 in the UK, and that has already reached more than 2 million people, helping them experience a vegan diet for 31 days throughout the month of January. Isn't it amazing?


Did you know that in 2023, Veganuary was a record-breaking success? A total of 706,965 people officially signed up, with participants hailing from nearly every country worldwide, experiencing a vegan lifestyle for 31 days throughout the entire month of January. Also, what's super exciting is that companies and artists from around the world join in, including fast-food chains that launch their vegan products during this time. We love it!


Let's do this?

To help you participate and succeed with flying colours in this challenge, we have a little list of cookbooks, websites and youtube channels that we recommend that will help you a lot during this period.


Starting off with our recommendations, let's talk about cookbooks that you need to, at least, take a little look at. Come!

  1. Easy Plant-based Cuisine by Evelin Bandeira: our beloved book, written with Evelin's soul - creator of Ballates. It was supposed to be just a bonus for Ballates membership, but ended up becoming so much more, full of stories, places to go and tips on how to organise yourself for the plant-based lifestyle. Evelin is a gluten-free and plant-based advocate that presents over 50 recipes that are mouth watering and easy on the pockets. Are you ready?

  2. You Can Cook This by Max La Manna: you'll see we're fans of this guy right here. His revolutionary zero-waste ideas are increible, and his second book, "You Can Cook This, deserves all the laurels it has received. It has 135 super-simple plant-based recipes that saves time, money, and waste,

  3. Cooking from the Spirit - Easy, Delicious, and Joyful Plant-Based Inspirations by Tabitha Brown: what can we say about Tabitha Brown? Amazing, gorgeous, smart and on point? You got it! And this award-winning book - voted the Favorite Vegan Cookbook of 2023 by VegNews - is full of easy, family-friendly vegan recipes and stories from the spirit, inspired by her health journey and love of delicious food. More than just a cookbook, it's a book for the soul!

  4. Mostly Veggies: Easy Make-Ahead Meals for Healthy Living by Brittany Mullins: the secret to have a successful plant-based lifestyle is planning ahead, and in this book, besides the amazing recipes, you'll have tips for planning and prepping your every meal. It's flavor-filled and holistic cooking for the whole family. Super worth it!

  5. The Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook: Wholesome, Indulgent Plant-Based Recipes by Nisha Vora: we are fans of the blog Rainbow Plant Life and this book is a gem! Delicious everyday cooking to be made using an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker - that we are obsessed about! You can also use a non-electrical one, but let's face it: we love everything that can make our lives.


And now, it's time for some Blogs/Profiles on the Internet that will be immensely helpful and teach you delicious recipes, tips and tricks. Let's dive in:



  1. Max La Manna | @maxlamanna - Max La Manna, the brain behind amazing recipes that not only good for your health, but also sustainable with the thought of zero waste food. He's also an award-winning author with an amazing youtube channel. Check him out for incredible culinary inspiration!

  2. Deliciously Ella | @deliciouslyella - Ella Mills is a well-known figure in the vegan community with her inspiring Instagram and blog. She shares mouthwatering plant-based recipes that are not only nourishing but also incredibly tasty. Be prepared to be captivated by her creative recipe ideas and beautiful food photography!

  3. The Minimalist Baker | @minimalistbaker - Perfect for those who want quick and easy recipes without compromising on flavor. The Minimalist Baker offers a range of vegan recipes that require 10 ingredients or less, one bowl, or 30 minutes or less to prepare. From indulgent desserts to savory mains, this account has it all!

  4. BOSH! | @bosh.tv - Looking for impressive vegan dishes that will wow your taste buds? BOSH! is your go-to resource. Their Instagram account and YouTube channel are filled with stunning visual content and step-by-step recipe videos. You'll find everything from family-friendly meals to show-stopping treats.

  5. Ela Vegan | @elavegan - Micaela Vais is a gluten-free + plant-based advocate with tones of healthy and amazing food, both on her blog, cookbooks and Instagram! She managed to create a completely different world of good, fun and incredibly delicious food. Hands down!
